The Advanced Radiation Technology Institute, an affiliate of the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute, is the sole radiation-specialized research institute in Korea. We are doing our utmost best in the field of Radiation Advanced Materials Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biotechnology, Breeding Research, Radiation Equipment and Food Research to develop radiation fusion technology and to improve our quality of life by aiming to create the world’s best R&D results. In addition, we are putting all of our effort into strengthening the competitiveness of the national radiation industry.

Over the past several years, we conducted both basic and applicable research that advances the frontiers of radiation science and technology. KAERI’s multidisciplinary scientific and engineering teams on new material, environment, biotechnology, radiation breeding and radiation equipment are brought together to create better ways to address peaceful uses of radiation technology.
