Disk-Chopper Time-of-Flight Spectrometer
Disk-Chopper Time-of-Flight SpectrometerDC-TOF Disk Chopper Time-of-Flight Spectrometer
- The Disk-Chopper Time-of-Flight Spectrometer (DC-TOF) turns an incident neutron beam into monochromatic pulses by using a disk-chopper. A neutron beam incident on a sample can choose its wavelength and resolution, on its own accord, within the range of 2-10Å. As such, it is possible to measure dynamics in a wide range of momentum at once by using multiple one-dimensional position-sensitive detectors, so this instrument is useful in measuring the dynamics of a variety of materials including not only magnetic materials but soft matters, polymers, biomolecules, and so on.
